"The role of the Peer Mediator is to implement strategies to resolve any conflict between children. A Peer Mediator is someone who can see both sides of an argument and help other children to come to a solution. The role of the 'Mediator' is not to judge, or force an agreement, but to try to achieve a solution acceptable to both parties. They have to be supportive and understanding of other children's needs."

"Peer mediation at St Ann's School is very successful and doing what was intended: helping all our children to get along better. They have completed a 6 week session of training and are easily recognisable on the playground in their bright yellow jackets."
