Rights Respecting Schools

We Know Our Rights!

 

In 2013 the school began its journey to becoming a Rights Respecting School http://www.unicef.org.uk/rights-respecting-schools/ and has been given a Recognition of Commitment award by UNICEF.

Children learn about their rights and how they can help children around the world have their rights realised. This enables children to discuss important issues and deepen their appreciation of British values. To support this development, every child takes part in-

 

  • Personal, social and emotional education

  • Religious education

  • Philosophy for children session

  • Projects which make a positive difference in the real world
