Apprentice Admin Assistant

 

37 hours per week, Term Time Only, Fixed Term Contract

National Minimum Apprenticeship Rate £3.70 per hour

Required for October 2018 start

 

Would you like to work in a primary school?  If you do, this Level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship at St Ann’s Junior and Infant School maybe the job you are looking for.

An Apprenticeship is a combination of on and off the job learning and development. As an apprentice, you'll gain work experience, and achieve a nationally recognised qualification eg BTEC Diploma in Business Administration, whilst earning a wage.

During this apprenticeship you will learn how to help parents/carers at reception and how to use specialist computerised software to record information about children, money taken and place orders etc.

Full training will be provided for all aspects of this apprenticeship by both school employees and by the training organisation.

This is a Fixed Term contract of 12 months with a possible extension up to 15 months to allow time to complete the Apprenticeship and assessments process.  You will work 37 hours a week during school term-time only.  

To apply for this vacancy you must have:

  • GCSE Grade A*-C or GCSE Grade 9-4 in both Maths and English (or equivalent eg Level 2 Functional Skills)
  • Practical knowledge of computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, internet and e-mail
  • Ideally, some experience of dealing with customers in person and over the phone (in a paid or unpaid capacity such as volunteering or on a work placement)
  • An interest in working in a school setting
