Who fought for our freedom?
We started off by looking at who fought for our Freedom during World War . After looking at the RAF, Army and Royal Navy we produced some amazing watercolours of the vehicles they drove.
Why do we remember?
Next we looked at Remembrance day and why we remember the soldiers that died in the wars. We produced our own poems about Remembrance and put these onto our remembrance plaques alongside our poppies that we sewed. We presented our plaques at the Remembrance day service in Clifton Park.
Do we live in a Free World?
In the final part of our project we looked at Freedom fighters and people who are still fighting for our Freedom now. We researched different freedom fighters and then we produced outstanding portraits of these Freedom Fighters critiquing our work and producing multiple drafts. We acted upon feedback from our peers to make our work the best it can be.
We held our own exhibition at Riverside Library. Mayor Lyndsay Pitchley came and opened our exhibition. Each day 6 children from our class went down to the library to be Curators and show visitors around the exhibition.
